About the Role
We are seeking a confident, passionate Deputy Manager who is room-based for the majority of the week, with one dedicated office day for leadership and management responsibilities.
You'll play a vital role in supporting the Nursery Manager with daily operations, staffing, compliance, and curriculum leadership. Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Leading and supporting staff within your base room and across the nursery
* Taking responsibility for the setting in the absence of the Manager
* Monitoring and improving EYFS delivery, modeling high-quality practice in rooms
* Ensuring safeguarding, health & safety, and statutory requirements are always met
* Conducting staff supervisions and supporting professional development
* Working closely with the Manager on rotas, occupancy, and parent partnerships
* Contributing to inspection readiness and quality assurance processes
* Supporting new initiatives and practice development
What We're Looking For:
* A Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 or working towards preferred)
* Experience as a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or strong senior Room Leader
* Excellent knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted frameworks
* A calm, clear communicator who can lead by example
