Overview
The Mechanic will play a key role within the Transport Division, supporting and assisting the Maintenance Supervisor, servicing and repairing a fleet of small to large vehicles, both HGV and non-HGV, to annual test standard and the maintenance of all items of grass cutting equipment and Highways Plant. The successful applicant must hold a HGV Licence (Minimum Class 2) or be prepared to undertake training accordingly.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our hardworking and committed Neighbourhood Services Division Fleet Management Team. The successful candidate will have proven experience working as a mechanic and have a good understanding of modern vehicle technology and diagnostic procedures. Experience with electric vehicles would also be an advantage, however training will be provided.
We are seeking a motivated person who can work to diagnose faults on chassis and body equipment for a range of vehicles quickly and accurately.
