The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records. This role is crucial in supporting the accounts payable function and requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and software.
Duties
* Process purchase invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Assist with data entry tasks related to accounts payable and maintain accurate records.
* Liaise with suppliers to address queries and ensure smooth communication regarding payments.
* Utilise accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft for efficient ledger management.
* Support the finance team with month-end closing procedures and reporting.
* Analyse financial data as required to assist in decision-making processes.
Experience
1. Previous experience in a similar role within accounts payable or purchase ledger is required.
