Job Description
We are currently supporting a well-known client based near Ledbury who require a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join them. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the preparation of monthly Management Accounts while working closely with non-finance staff, internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in finance, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts
* Support non-finance clients and staff in understanding financial management reports.
* Aid in the annual budget and monthly forecasting process.
* Process weekly sales invoicing and reconciliation for both UK and imported.
* Calculate packing recharges for imported.
* Manage utility invoices, accruals, and general prepayments.
* Lead and report on monthly reviews for welfare and laboratory enterprises.
* Capture data for carbon emission calculations and report findings
* Suggest and implement improvements in processes for Management Accounts preparation.
* Perform ad hoc tasks and reporting as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
* 1+ years’ experience in an Accounts Assistant-focused role.
* AAT qualified or currently studying towards an AAT, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification is advantageous.
