Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Coach Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and mechanical knowledge being advantageous. Full training available for candidates wishing to come into the industry but have not got full driving qualifications
This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to operate various types of vehicles. As a Coach Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers while ensuring a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate the bus, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition
* Maintain a clean and organised coach interior for passengers
* Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes and schedules
* Assist passengers as needed, including those with disabilities or special needs
* Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management promptly
* Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and passenger counts
* Collaborate with dispatchers to ensure timely departures and arrivals
Qualifications
* Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with passengers and team members
* Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings if required
* Full training available for candidates wishing to come into the industry but have not got full driving qualifications
