Job Description
The firm is looking to hire a motivated Equity Research Analyst to cover the Global Energy sector including both conventional and sustainable energy companies.
Key responsibilities:
* Conduct detailed fundamental analysis of energy companies
* Build and maintain detailed financial models to support investment thesis and valuation frameworks
* Generate high-conviction investment ideas for in relevant portfolios
* Perform macro-level research on global energy markets including regulatory, technological, and ESG developments
* Present well-articulated investment recommendations at weekly investment committee meetings
* Monitor and update research on existing portfolio holdings
* Regularly engage with company management and attend conferences to gather insights
* Contribute to ESG engagement efforts
Candidate Profile:
* 2-5 years of equity research experience
* Relevant work experience and knowledge of the energy sector is a plus
* Willingness to embrace a long-term, fundamental investment approach
* Good team player who thrives in a collegiate culture
* Intellectual curiosity, humility and a commitment to continuous learning
* Analytical mindset
* Currently working towards (or willingness to pursue) the CFA qualification
* Undergraduate degree (minimum 2:1)
