Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and the use of hand and power tools. The Fabricator/Welder will work primarily in a manufacturing environment, contributing to the assembly and construction of metal components.
Responsibilities
* Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and ductwork.
* Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
* Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for fabrication tasks.
* Conduct pipe threading and rigging operations as required for specific projects.
* Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials and finished products within the facility.
* Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during all fabrication processes.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements
* Proven experience in fabrication and welding within a construction or manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools for precise fabrication tasks.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
* Familiarity with plasma cutting techniques and soldering processes is preferred.
* Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
