The role
As a Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering a high-value, long-term defence infrastructure programme that is critical to national security. You’ll lead projects across the full lifecycle, working alongside industry-leading experts and collaborating with joint venture partners and key stakeholders.
This role is based in Glasgow, working 37 hours per week. Travel to other Cavendish Nuclear and customer sites will be expected.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
Leading the delivery of projects across the full lifecycle, ensuring scope, cost, schedule, and quality targets are metManaging and mentoring an Assistant Project Manager while supporting wider team developmentCollaborating with joint venture partners, suppliers, and client stakeholders to drive project successMonitoring project performance and reporting progress to senior leadership, including a Senior Project ManagerIdentifying and managing risks, opportunities, and change in a complex engineering environmentEssential experience of the Project Manager:
Demonstrating proven experience managing projects across the full lifecycleApplying project management principles within civil infrastructure or complex engineering environmentsWorking within regulated industries such as defence or nuclear (advantageous)Managing stakeholders across multiple organisations and disciplinesLeading or supporting teams in a project delivery environmentQualifications for the Project Manager:
Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)Project management qualification aligned to Association of Project Management or similar (desirable)Knowledge of NEC contracts (advantageous)Security Clearance
