Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities The service needs to be covered from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, there is a degree of flexibilty as the total hours on offer are 32. The ideal candidate will be personable, able to talk to public and clinical staff with equal confidence. Not be afraid to learn new skills on the computer. Show a willingness to work as a team as well as on own initiative. Always keeping the Patient at the heart of every action they take. Looking at ways to improve the service. Collaborating with colleagues and peers alike. Have a basic understanding of Confidentiality You will be responsible for administering the patient files coming in and out of the unit as well as other clerical duties. Person specification Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience Essential criteria Literacy and numeracy skills, demonstrable to GCSE- grades 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 or grades A*, A, B, C (or equivalent) Good keyboard skills and basic computer literacy skills. Experience in a busy working environment. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. An understanding of confidentiality issues. Friendly, approachable and sympathetic manner. Clear written and verbal communication skills Desirable criteria Previous hospital or health service experience. Experience of using eCaMIS. Office experience. Previous experience within a ‘customer care’ role.
