VANRATH is proud to be partnering with a well-established Construction Company in the search for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected organisation with a strong commitment to workplace safety and employee well being.
The role is based in Newry and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule. This company offers a stable, supportive environment with long-term career prospects.
Salary
£40,000 - £45,000 + Van
Core Duties:
Health & Safety
1. Oversee the organisation's compliance with workplace safety legislation and internal protocols
2. Working on-site - spotting risks etc
3. Perform routine inspections across various departments and document findings
4. Risk assessments
5. Recognise safety concerns and implement practical solutions to mitigate risk
6. Manage investigations into on-site incidents and recommend appropriate follow-up actions
7. Coordinate staff safety training, toolbox talks, and onboarding safety briefings
Essential Criteria:
8. NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent safety qualification)
9. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dedicated health and safety role
10. Construction background highly preferred but not essential
11. Strong background in conducting and documenting risk assessments and incident reports
