This role is based at Bowersgate School. Opening in September 2026, Bowersgate School is a purpose built, brand new, state of the art school. The school will cater for up to 72 pupils aged 6‑16 with a wide range of needs including autism, and social, emotional and mental health needs. This new opportunity serves Wythenshawe and the wider communities, placing you at the heart of its development. Our aim is to ensure that every pupil has an outstanding educational experience with individual pupil progress and care at the centre of what is offered.
Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined‑up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with complexities of need including developmental trauma, neuro‑developmental conditions and special educational needs.
As part of a multi‑disciplinary clinical team you will support educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.
Responsibilities
* Provide therapeutic support and interventions to children and young people with complex needs.
* Collaborate with educational and residential teams to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments.
* Offer individualised interventions and engagement based on clinical assessment and formulation.
* Deliver supervision, coaching and training to team members.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of therapeutic practice.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
* Specialist skills and experience in engaging and delivering therapeutic interventions to children and young people with complex needs.
* Experience supporting teams around a child or young person to provide clinically informed environments and experiences.
* Confidence, engaging communication skills, and ability to lead and train others.
* Highly organised with initiative and commitment to achieving the best outcomes for young people.
