Job Title: Electrical Supervisor
To be responsible for delivering a range of housing and property repairs and contracts as directed by the Electrical Coordinator. Ensure all works are completed to the specified standards and within target timelines, deploying resources efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
* Sign off all electrical certifications in accordance with NICEIC / Select and Qualified Supervisor responsibilities.
* Conduct onsite audits to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies.
* Lead and guide electrical teams onsite, ensuring resources are used efficiently and cost-effectively.
* Drive continuous improvement by identifying areas of strength and development, addressing poor performance.
* Ensure electrical staff prioritize customer care, aligning with Council policies and customer needs.
* Support the Electrical Coordinator in developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and practices within Building Services.
* Assist in managing buildings, vehicles, and plant under the plumbing/heating team.
* Undertake training and staff development as required.
The Individual
* Time Served Approved Electrician with comprehensive knowledge of domestic electrical installations.
* Experience in supervising electrical construction/maintenance operatives.
* NICEIC/SELECT supervisory experience.
* Relevant electrical qualification, minimum SVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
* 18th Edition Regulations certification.
* Current SJIB Grading Card.
* Full driving license.
* Strong organizational and planning skills.
* Good knowledge of various building trades.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Up-to-date with current electrical regulations and legislation.
* Ability to travel between work locations efficiently, primarily using a car/van due to rural settings.
* Sound judgment and ability to work independently.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
* Proven leadership in a customer-focused environment.
* Ability to work on-site in construction environments and under pressure, balancing demands effectively.
* Manual lifting capacity up to 15 Kg.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Building Services team at the DLO, employing over 150 multi-trade and support staff, providing maintenance and improvement services to over 6,300 council houses, schools, offices, and libraries.

Starting Salary: £34,131.76
Hours: 37 hours per week
