The Role
You will be supporting an individual pupil to develop positive self-regulation skills and improve their engagement with the curriculum. You will also be leading one-to-one activities with this pupil, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo. The pupil has a plan in place with established targets on it. You will be working towards these targets as well as reflecting on the progress made and creating new targets.
Main Responsibilities
* Support individual pupil to develop positive self-regulation skills
* Use pre-determined strategies to manage challenging behaviour
* Deliver planned interventions
* Ensure pupil safety and welfare is maintained at all times
* Feedback to class teacher and SENDCo
* Liaise with parents about progress/areas for development

* Patience and resilience
Desirable Criteria
* Team Teach training/experience
* Education/Teaching Assistant qualification
* Prior experience working in a school or nursery
