Job Overview
We seek a highly skilled Technical Operations Lead to join our Cybersecurity Investigations team. This role manages technical operations, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of digital assets through cybersecurity measures. The successful candidate will lead a team and collaborate with global leads and client partners to deliver services in the UK timezone.
This is a 100% remote role based in the UK with flexible hours to support global operations. The role reports to our US-based Service Delivery team and works closely with clients in the UK and US.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor cybersecurity professionals, fostering a collaborative, innovative, high-performing environment.
* Develop team capabilities through training and quality assurance activities.
* Oversee daily technical operations, ensuring client security protocols are followed.
* Manage incident response and forensic investigations, suggesting process improvements.
* Coordinate long-term initiatives, process development, change management, and reporting.
* Stay updated on investigation types and ensure team skill development.
* Serve as technical liaison between client teams and internal departments, reporting on security trends and risks.
* Monitor scheduling, attendance, and compliance with laws and regulations.
* Escalate performance and morale issues as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
* Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
* At least 10 years of cybersecurity operations experience.
* At least 5 years of active investigator experience in an IR team.
* Experience leading technical teams.
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, IAM).
* Proficiency with cybersecurity tools (SIEM, SOAR, SAS, Sandboxes, EDR, cloud tech).
* Knowledge of access control, cloud technologies, data retention, encryption.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Experience presenting to clients or cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Preferred: participation in cybersecurity communities, programming knowledge, forensic investigation experience.
