Location:Head Office, Ballinderry Road, Lisburn travel to NI
Reporting to:Senior Management
Employment Type:Full time, Permanent
Working hours:37.5 hours per week

Overall objectives
We seek to appoint a Payroll Lead to join our busy and expanding team within McQuillan Companies.

This role will require someone with a 'can do' attitude, a commercial approach and demonstrable attention to detail. The successful candidate will report to Senior Management and must be hardworking, reliable, and possess excellent communication & inter personal skills. Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and assist with the payroll processing for 6 companies, including:
o Collection and analysis of weekly timesheets
o Processing of timesheets onto Sage Payroll
o Wages processing on Sage Payroll
o Calculating holiday pay, SSP, SPP etc
o Processing BACS payments
* Working with the HR department to manage joiners, leavers and other payroll matters
* Submission of Real Time Information to HMRC
* Managing the pension scheme, including: joiners, leavers, weekly information submission, payments and refunds
* Ensuring compliance with general and industry specific payroll regulations
As part of the accounts administration team, the role may also entail:
* General accounts administrative duties
* Answering telephone calls into the finance office
Essential Criteria
* Experience in a similar lead role, running all aspects of a payroll function
* Suitable level of payroll qualifications or knowledge through experience
* Strong IT skills, including:
o Knowledge of Sage Payroll 50 beneficial but not essential
o Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central beneficial but not essential
o Microsoft Packages e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
o Ability to learn how to use financial and operational software packages
* Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task
* Demonstrated initiative and high levels of energy
* Excellent communication skills and work ethics
