Medivet Whittlesey is recruiting for an RVN to join the practice. Nestled in beautiful surroundings, this spacious clinic has recently been refurbished and boasts a marvellous team, including our Lead Vet who holds a certification in Medicine, a Head Nurse, and a Practice Manager.
Our light and airy practice offers plenty of natural light, with on-site parking, a spacious reception, staff room, and a lovely garden to enjoy in.
The position is a full-time role with 1:6 weekends, no out of hours, and no on-call.
Whittlesey is on the western edge of the Fens, 6 miles east of Peterborough. Its central location provides excellent opportunities to explore the West Norfolk coast and direct rail links to London King’s Cross in just an hour.

Role Accountabilities

In this role, you will:
* Deliver exceptional care to clients.
* Support surgeries and procedures, including pre- and post-operative activities.
* Carry out nurse-led appointments and schedule activities.
* Provide patient monitoring and care.
* Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
* Complete patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
* Dispense and check medication.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
* Hold team briefings to coordinate practice activities.
Your Skills and Experience
* RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
* Experience delivering exceptional patient and client care.
* Effective team player.
* Experience supporting nurse consultations and understanding their contribution to practice performance.
* Coaching and influencing skills to motivate colleagues.
