About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive and inclusive school in Chelmsford. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), supporting them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
2. Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
3. Support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
4. Help manage behaviour positively and encourage engagement in lessons
5. Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
6. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCO
7. Support students’ social and emotional development
Requirements:
8. Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred)
9. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
10. Strong communication and teamwork skills
11. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
12. Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential
