Job Description:
The Mental Health Pharmacy team in Aberdeen is growing! This is a new post for the team, offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated pharmacist to join us. You will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary mental health teams, providing patient-centred clinical pharmacy care for in-patients and out-patients in Grampian. The role includes developing links with, and supporting, colleagues in wider settings such as primary care.
You will have the opportunity to work across various clinical settings including Adult Mental Health, Old Age Psychiatry, Learning Disabilities, Rehabilitation, Forensic, and Eating Disorders Services. Additionally, you will support the technician-led medicines service to ensure an efficient and responsive supply of medicines.
This post involves a rotational weekend working commitment (approximately 1 day every 8 weekends) in the dispensary at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI).
Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Previous experience in mental health is not essential as training will be provided. We seek candidates with a solid foundation of skills, preferably those who have completed, are undertaking, or are willing to undertake post-registration training, or can demonstrate equivalent experience.
Interviews are tentatively scheduled for Thursday, 29th May.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available for successful candidates.
NHS Scotland is committed to promoting equality and diversity within our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. We aim for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and empowered. We welcome applications from all sections of society.
