Qualified Dispenser 40 hours per week
Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm
Saturdays on rotation
Based in Blackburn
Criteria:
This is a permanent position
Must be a NVQ qualified Dispenser and eligible to work in the UK
We are not able to offer sponsorship
If you do not hold the relevant dispensing qualification your application will not be processed any further.
Reports to- /Pharmacy Manager
At Manor Pharmacy, we pride ourselves on helping our local community with the service that we offer. As a Dispenser, you will work as part of a team under the direction of a registered Pharmacist.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Issuing stock items and prepared prescriptions
* Collection of prescription charges/checking patient exemption statements
* Operation of efficient stock control appropriate to the needs of the dispensary with the objective of ensuring continuity of supply for patients and minimizing wastage
* Ensuring that drugs are received and stored in an appropriate manner in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions
* Ensuring that refrigerated items are stored at the appropriate temperature and maintaining the temperature control record/logbook
* Cleaning work surfaces and shelving on a regular basis and ensuring that all dispensary equipment is kept clean and kept in good working order.
* Maintaining full and accurate records of script figures.
* Dispensing repeat prescriptions and prescriptions from surgeries under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
* Taking orders for repeats and dealing with queries from surgeries and patients
* Using the computer to keep records up to date with patient notes and communication this to the pharmacist
* Ordering drugs using Victoria and warehouse.
* Counter assistance is also required as part of the dispensing process.
* Handling prescription money and operating/balancing the till.
* Assisting in stock checks
* Informing pharmacists of when MUR's are due
You must meet/exceed your personal objectives that have been set for you and play a key role in driving the store to meet its target.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have a current development plan and an action that you will be working on for the next 12 months continuous
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £25,792.00-£26,000.00 per year
