We're working with an exciting company who are looking for a Web Developer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in WordPress who is keen to expand their skills and take on increasing responsibility.
What the role involves:
* Building, customising, and maintaining WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
* Assisting with front-end and back-end development tasks.
* Turning designs and requirements into fully functional, responsive, and SEO-optimised sites.
* Integrating third-party tools, APIs, and e-commerce platforms.
* Supporting troubleshooting, bug fixes, and general technical problem-solving.
* Keeping up to date with WordPress updates, trends, and best practices.
What we're looking for:
* Some proven experience with WordPress.
* Good knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Familiarity with WordPress theme and plugin customisation.
* Understanding of responsive design principles.
* Basic awareness of website performance optimisation and SEO.
* Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
Desirable skills:
* Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce integrations.
* Knowledge of page builders such as Elementor.
* Familiarity with version control (Git).
* Awareness of accessibility and security best practices.
