About the Role
As a Traffic Engineer, you will contribute to the design, implementation and project management of a wide range of Traffic Engineering schemes. You will provide professional and technical advice across the Council and to external clients, helping ensure we meet our statutory duties.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed engineering schemes and contract documents.
* Design and deliver Traffic Engineering and highway projects.
* Manage projects including financial and programme monitoring.
* Use AutoCAD, GIS, UTMC/UTC tools and surveying equipment.
* Undertake technical investigations and feasibility assessments.
* Provide expert advice and respond to enquiries.
* Prepare and present reports.
* Manage contractors and supervise assistant engineers.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety and CDM regulations.
