Overview
A Personal Assistant is required for a young lady with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, Delayed Global Development, Autism and Tourette’s in the HU2 area of Hull. The role includes two sleepovers per week.
Responsibilities
* Take the young lady to Day Centre Monday to Friday, accompany her after Day Centre, and assist with meals at home.
* Provide support with some personal and continence care as needed.
* Support social activities and community outings (shops, cinema, local park, walking the dog when quiet).
* Accompany the young lady in the community and support attendance at medical appointments.
* Preferably be a driver or have access to a vehicle to enable travel to Day Centre and appointments.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Honest, reliable, good at communicating; tolerant and non-judgemental; able to build trust and respectful relationships.
* Hours are flexible and to be discussed at interview.
* Owing to the nature of the position, a satisfactory DBS check is required; the cost of the check is met by the local authority/employer.
