We are a diverse engineering and construction team that supports our clients across the UK, delivering projects in Water, Power, Energy and Aggregates. Our large regional offices and manufacturing hub in Somerset enable us to take on schemes ranging from £5k to £15m, often acting as Principal Contractor and Principal Designer.
Role Purpose
This role involves working as part of a team of electricians on industrial and water industry programmes across South West London, Surrey and surrounding regions for SES Water.
Key Details
Permanent role, 40 hours per week, on site Monday to Friday. Paid hourly with overtime, plus door‑to‑door travel time.
Responsibilities
* Complete electrical installations complying with BS7671, Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards.
* Adhere to all Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
* Ensure installations meet the highest quality standards, following the project's quality plan, inspection and test plans.
* Apply the STAR dynamic risk assessment, stopping work if unsafe conditions arise.
* Coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices.
* Promote Bridges' values with peers, staff, customers and clients.
* Promote positive health and wellbeing among peers.
* Represent Bridges professionally and support business goals while maintaining a positive reputation.
Requirements
* ECS gold card (essential).
* Experience within water or construction industry.
* Industrial and/or panel wiring experience (desirable).
* Ability to manage own and others' workload with minimal assistance from Project Managers.
* Appropriate City & Guilds trade qualification.
* Fitness to work medical.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
* EUSR Water Hygiene.
* Inspection and testing certificate.
* PASMA / IPAF / Confined space.
* COMPEX.
