Overview
Morecambe Bay Primary Care Collaborative are a successful Health Care provider in Secondary Care and Primary Care settings. We deliver services to our patients in treatment, diagnostics and specialist services. We are very excited to have an opportunity to expand our services across the South Cumbria footprint including new services being developed.
Main duties of the job
 * Cleaning of the following, hard and soft floor surfaces, toilets, kitchen areas and telephony and computer equipment, by the appropriate method.
 * Collecting and bagging of general and clinical waste and putting ready for disposal.
 * Replenishing supplies of soap, paper towels, toilet rolls and waste disposal bags.
 * Ensuring that all cleaning equipment used is cleaned in preparation for the next day.
 * Ensure safe storage of cleaning equipment / products.
 * Reporting of faulty cleaning equipment and any conditions that may require attention.
 * Effectively monitor and report stock levels of cleaning materials.
 * Washing and disinfecting waste bins where necessary.
 * Follow and adhere to Health and Safety procedures.
 * To adhere to the cleaning regimens put in place to ensure regular timely cleaning is undertaken.
 * Recording the cleaning of each specific area of work as necessitated by the business.
 * Undertake any other cleaning tasks that may occasionally be required on a periodic basis, prior notification will be given.

Person Specification
Experience
 * Previous cleaning experience.
 * Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Knowledge & Skills
 * Effective communication skills (written and oral)
 * Ability to follow policy and procedure
 * Ability to effectively manage stock
 * Good interpersonal skills
 * Ability to read, follow and implement instruction.
 * Able to prioritise workload.
 * Able to work unsupervised.
 * Understanding of COSHH.
Qualifications
 * Basic standard of education.
 * City & Guilds level 2 or a related cleaning qualification.
