Our client is a leading Disputes law firm with a strong reputation for handling complex, high-value arbitration and litigation matters across global markets. With a dedicated arbitration group based across Europe, the firm is especially known for its focus on strategic, multi-jurisdictional proceedings involving high-stakes commercial and investment disputes.
The firm offers a flatter structure than many traditional partnerships, creating a more inclusive, collaborative environment with shared economic incentives across levels. Lawyers benefit from a generous bonus structure, including a profit-sharing element, and the absence of transactional teams minimises internal conflict issues, allowing clearer focus on client needs.
The Role
You will be joining a recognised international arbitration practice acting for both claimants and respondents across a range of arbitration forums. The team regularly appears before tribunals seated under major institutional rules, including: LCIA ICC, ICSID, and others.
You’ll support complex commercial arbitrations and investor-state disputes, often arising from cross-border joint ventures, finance arrangements, shareholder disagreements, post-M&A issues, and regulatory action.
You’ll be involved at all stages of the process, including:
* Drafting arbitration clauses and agreements
* Advising on jurisdiction and applicable law
* Managing procedural aspects of hearings
* Representing clients in arbitration hearings as part of the advocate team
* Handling enforcement proceedings and related court actions such as injunctions and freezing orders
You’ll work closely with colleagues in Paris and Frankfurt, as well as other firm-wide arbitration professionals, contributing to an integrated cross-border offering.
Requirements
* England & Wales qualified (or equivalent)
* 1-5 PQE, with prior exposure to commercial or investment arbitration.
* Experience with LCIA or ICC rules is beneficial, as is any familiarity with cross-border litigation or enforcement proceedings.
The firm is open to candidates coming from broader disputes backgrounds (including those with mixed arbitration and litigation experience), but an interest in specialising in international arbitration is essential.
Strong academic credentials and training from a recognised international or disputes-led practice will be expected.
Why Consider This Role?
* Opportunity to specialise in high-end arbitration work with a growing cross-border team
* No internal conflicts or corporate distractions – fully focused disputes practice
* Profit-share bonus model applicable to all levels
* Work alongside Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked practitioners
* Strong emphasis on collaboration and equal input across the team
* Exposure to proceedings governed by a wide range of arbitral rules and institutions
* International experience via offices in London, Paris, Frankfurt, and beyond
