Plumbing and Heating Engineer - Bungay
About the Role
Are you an experienced and skilled Plumbing and Heating Engineer looking for a role with variety and a focus on quality work? Parkers Plumbing and Heating is a small, friendly, family-run company that prioritizes doing the job right, not rushing through it. We are looking for a highly competent and reliable engineer to join our team.
This is a multi-skilled role where you'll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and breakdown of a wide range of systems. You'll work independently on domestic and light commercial properties, maintaining our high standards of craftsmanship and professionalism. We offer full support from our experienced team, including our managing director, who is always available for technical assistance.
Responsibilities
* Carry out installations, servicing, maintenance, and repairs for plumbing, heating, and gas systems.
* Work with diverse technologies, including LPG, oil, solar thermal, and ground/air source heat systems.
* Manage your own workload and complete jobs to a high standard, with a focus on quality over speed.
* Provide a high level of customer service, communicating in a friendly and professional manner.
* Undertake boiler breakdowns and repairs with a bias toward installation and gas work.
* Fit bathrooms, which is an advantage but not essential.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Plumbing and Heating Engineer.
* Relevant gas qualifications are essential.
* Demonstrated knowledge of all types of plumbing and heating systems.
* Ability to work unsupervised to a high standard.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Experience with oil-fired systems is a bonus but not required.
Hours & Benefits
* Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 per year.
* Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
