Job Description:
A Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor is required to join a major organisation based in the South East on a permanent basis. The role involves working within an established in-house legal team and handling work of national significance.
The successful candidate will benefit from flexible working arrangements but must attend the office in South East England at least once a week.
This position is ideal for someone with proven experience in managing and negotiating Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement across public and private sectors.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of PFI contract lifecycle management, particularly contract handback, asset condition assessment, and compliance with legal and financial obligations.
Experience in construction law or public procurement is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the legal team and business units on engineering and construction matters related to large infrastructure projects.
* Manage and oversee the lifecycle of PFI contracts.
* Draft, negotiate, and finalize complex commercial contracts.
* Provide guidance on public procurement regulations and policies.
* Handle legal matters, both contentious and non-contentious, at early stages.
