Overview
Eastern High are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Attendance Officer to join our team and make a real difference to pupils' lives. In this vital role, you will improve attendance and reduce persistent absence by monitoring daily patterns, identifying concerns early, and leading timely, supportive interventions. Working closely with students, families, staff, and external agencies, you will help remove barriers to attendance through effective communication, data analysis, and where appropriate, home visits—ensuring every learner has the best possible chance to succeed.
Responsibilities
* Monitor daily attendance patterns to identify concerns early.
* Lead timely, supportive interventions to improve attendance and reduce persistent absence.
* Collaborate with students, families, staff, and external agencies to remove barriers to attendance through effective communication and data analysis.
* Where appropriate, conduct home visits to support attendance and engagement.
* Contribute to a culture where attendance is understood, valued, and actively encouraged, while ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
