Housekeeping Assistant role at Vita Student in Sheffield. Hourly rate £12.50. Working hours 10am – 6pm. 16 hours per week.
Vita Student’s next-level apartment design offers studios to suit students’ lives with the privacy of living alone or the laughter of living together. We provide style, luxury and comfort to our residents, surrounded by premium amenities and a vibrant city life. We’re expanding our housekeeping team with the appointment of an experienced Housekeeper to deliver a luxury, home-from-home cleaning service for residents’ studio apartments while ensuring premium site and facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Provide an exceptional, personalised room cleaning service to students by ensuring studios are clean, healthy and presentable.
* Clean according to designated schedules, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, antibacterial cleaning of surfaces and making beds.
* Ensure facilities are looked after respectfully by students and guests.
* Maintain the upkeep of the premium site and facilities.
* Be on hand, delivering solutions to issues or challenges that may arise.
* Be a point of contact for any incident or emergency onsite.
* Maintain waste management areas adhering to health and safety regulations, ensuring hazards are addressed and tidied as required.
* Record and manage each studio clean using a smart phone or tablet, photographing each studio before and after every clean.
* Report any concerning behaviour of students that could indicate welfare concerns.
* Monitor cleaning stock levels and communicate needs to the Assistant Residence Manager or Residence Manager; assist in ordering stock to maintain inventory.
* Follow the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations to protect health and safety when using cleaning chemicals.
Professional Experience
* A well-versed housekeeping professional with experience in large, multi-room residence facilities such as accommodation buildings, hotels or hospitals.
* Technologically astute; our operations rely on technology systems and software.
* Good understanding of COSHH regulations and practices.
