PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: within band depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience
Location: Cardiff - This role will require you to be office based, 3 days a week and possibly more during busy periods and supporting on location when needed.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
BBC Studios Documentary Unit is seeking a Production coordinator to join the team behind one of Channel 4's most streamed series - Murder Case: The Digital Detectives.
Back for an expanded six-part run, the series explores how cutting-edge digital forensics have helped solve recent murder cases. With access to police forces across the UK, each episode will focus on a single solved case, providing a deeper insight into the digital lives of 21st century killers and their victims than ever before.
We're looking for a proactive and highly organised Production Coordinator to join our Documentary team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on sensitive content, as well as handling editorial needs and archival materials with discretion and accuracy. You will report to the Production Manager and, in partnership with the editorial team, deliver outstanding, distinctive content. The production coordinator will provide logistical and coordinator support to their production teams, ensuring delivery on schedule and within operational and financial constraints.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
* Setting up shoots across the UK
* Main port of call for all production team logistical needs
* Support the Production Manager in smooth and efficient running of production
* Able to prepare, manage, set and/or monitor specific production resource plans, budgets and buying/booking resources
* Understanding of BBC resources, knowing when to bring in supporting departments e.g. business affairs, insurance, safety advisors
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Demonstrable Production coordinating experience and a genuine passion within Factual content
* Familiarity with broadcast production processes and workflows
* Extensive knowledge of dealing with suppliers
* Demonstrable experience of complex Post Production
* Extensive experience of setting up UK filming
* You'll have the ability to work positively and proactively within a busy team, work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting demands as well as demonstrating strong organisational, planning and numerical skills
* Solid understanding of BBC values, including trust and accountability
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
* Experience working within Crime content
* Proficient in paperwork delivery
* Versed in offloading and managing of rushes
* Knowledge of BBC systems
