Summary
Jingle Jam is looking for a volunteer social media video editor during the two-week period of Jingle Jam 2025, from 1st - 14th December (with some onboarding in the weeks prior).
This is an incredible opportunity to join the Jingle Jam team and experience one of the world's biggest online charity fundraising events from the inside, while practising and enhancing your video editing skills in a fast-moving, exciting environment.
About the role
Jingle Jam is a two-week event from 1st - 14th December that brings together the world's best games, creators and their communities to make the world better for children and young people. And it's massive Last year, over 800 creators went live, with a combined over 8 million views and a social media following of over 50 million. All this generated over 60,000 donations and nearly £2.7m raised.
Once Jingle Jam begins, we'll be posting several times a day across our social media channels: Bluesky, Instagram, Linkedin, TikTok and X. We'll be highlighting and celebrating content creators, updating supporters and generally shouting out cool stuff the whole time.
Every day or two we plan to post out a short video highlighting one of the best or some of the best livestream moments from the previous day. The catch is that our team is made up entirely of volunteers, most of whom still have day jobs during Jingle Jam.
So, we need a volunteer editor who can help us by turning stream clips into shareable 15 second - 1 minute videos, ready to go out on Bluesky and X in horizontal format and TikTok and Instagram in vertical format
You will assess already-compiled clips from previous days of Jingle Jam (or we'll point you towards one), choosing the best moment from the bunch to feature on social media. You'll then edit it down (ranging from a punchy 15s bit, to a long-running gag edited from 5ish minutes down to around a minute or so), add captions based on our style guide, and send back for round(s) of approval and posting.
