The IT function are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
Were looking for a strategic leader to drive transformation across our Technology function. In this high-impact role, youll oversee a £200m+ change portfolio, lead a dynamic team, and shape how we deliver programmes that support our long-term business goals.
Where you fit in:
As our Manager Of Group Information Technology you will:
Shape and deliver strategic plans aligned to long-term business goals.
Engage stakeholders across all levels to drive awareness and buy-in.
Develop cross-business roadmaps to improve capability and productivity.
Prioritise and oversee high-value projects to maximise ROI.
Define and lead GITO strategy, KPIs, and governance frameworks.
Implement tailored enterprise change frameworks, tools, and standards.
Maintain up-to-date policies and act as a knowledge source for others.
Drive professional change management practices across the organisation.
Ensure financial discipline and governance across complex programmes.
Provide clear, insightful reporting to senior stakeholders and the Technology Change Board.
Identify capability gaps and readiness issues impacting change delivery.
Build future-ready resource pools and develop change community skills.
Make strategic decisions to improve workforce capability and efficiency.
Lead and support five people managers and their teams.
Collaborate with Audit and Risk to implement assurance models.
Provide second-line assurance for strategic change programmes.
Set the mission and vision for IT Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
Lead vendor negotiations and ensure compliance with policies.
Manage supplier relationships to optimise performance and drive cost savings.
Establish KPIs and lead vendor review meetings to maximise contract value.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
A minimum of 5 years experience in Leading a PMO Team on large complex programmes.
Extensive experience in governance, planning, reporting, financial tracking and delivery assurance.
Proven experience in working with both waterfall and scaled agile (SaFe) methodologies
Proven stakeholder management skills at executive and senior leadership levels.
A role model who lives the companys values and behaviours.
High energy, resilience, and determination to drive sustainable performance.
Skilled in leading, motivating, and developing high-performing teams.
Experience managing cross-business portfolios and large-scale programmes.
Commercially focused with a track record of delivering value and managing budgets.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
Effective negotiator with significant IT procurement and contract management experience.
Experience embedding change and influencing culture and behaviours.
A strategic leader who champions the business vision and Target Operating Model.
Desirable: Utilities sector experience, portfolio/programme management qualifications, degree-level education.
