Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with six operating divisions; Construction, Retail, Fit Out, Small Works, Maintenance and Manufactured Joinery. We employ over 230 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.
Due to recent project wins, we have an opportunity for an experienced Site Manager or Project Manager to join the business.
Role & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Ensuring that the projects are completed safely, on time, to budget, and to the highest standard of workmanship.
2. Managing subcontractors.
3. Dealing directly with design teams and clients.
4. Building and developing relationships with existing and new customers.
5. Producing, analyzing, and interrogating programmes.
6. Controlling projects to financial budget.
7. Fully embracing the company's Customers 1st campaign to continually improve the way we deal with our customers.
Candidate
To be considered for this position, the candidate should:
1. Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Project and Office packages.
2. Hold a current SMSTS qualification.
3. Have a high level of health & safety awareness.
4. Hold a current First Aid and Scaffold Inspection Certificates.
5. Have strong communication skills.
6. Have experience in both refurbishment and new build.
7. Be IT literate with good contract administration skills.
8. Be able to demonstrate an ability to control and manage subcontractors.
9. Be capable of programming projects.
10. Be able to demonstrate that they can meet programme dates.
This is a full-time, permanent position, and it will mainly cover projects in the West of Scotland, but depending on business needs, additional travel may be required.
