Job Description
What you’ll do
We are looking for a caring and reliable support worker to join a small team supporting the client at home. On afternoons, you will support the client with social and recreational activities such as walks, garden play, football with siblings, and indoor activities, while providing 1:1 supervision at all times. The client enjoys interaction, humour, and building positive relationships with carers. On nights, you will provide overnight support including personal care, medication administration, and responding to any needs when the client wakes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout. The client is non-verbal and communicates through eye contact and pointing, with carers using an elimination method to understand their needs. The client attends school during the day.
Qualifications
What you’ll need
You don’t need any care experience to apply for this role, just plenty of care, compassion, and resilience. We provide full nurse-led training. Our client lives with a chronic condition which requires ongoing support with their PEG feed, mobility and challenging behaviours. Experience working with children is desirable, not essential.
