Quality Control Engineer – Precision Engineering

Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm | Friday, 7:30 am – 1:00 pm

Role Overview:
In this hands-on role, you'll support shop-floor teams with quality-focused engineering and technical guidance. You’ll utilise cutting-edge equipment and software (including CMM programming) to ensure product compliance and improve inspection efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical quality support throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring product conformity and promoting a strong quality culture.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for visiting inspectors and address all production-related quality concerns.
* Offer expert guidance and solutions on quality control issues within production areas.
* Interpret customer drawings and specifications to define and ensure dimensional compliance.
* Maintain inspection equipment to required standards, ensuring operational readiness.
* Utilize modern technologies to complete quality documentation, including Inspection Reports, Certificates of Conformity, PPAP, ISIRs, and 8D reports.
* Make critical decisions on rework and scrap, communicating with Production and Plant Managers as needed.
* Ensure daily inspection requirements are met, and all inspection and test equipment are properly calibrated.
* Address non-conformances (NCRs) related to customer complaints and internal quality issues, in collaboration with the Quality Section Leader, Production Manager, and SHEQ/Compliance Manager.
* Develop and optimize CMM and quality equipment programs to ensure full integration with HighQA quality systems and maximum inspection coverage.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Skills required:
* Engineering Qualification with previous experience in Quality management in an engineering environment
* CMM / Quality Equipment Programming Skills (Keyence, Mitutoyo MCOSMOS, Faro programming experience/qualifications preferred)
* Experience in processing Certificates of Conformity, PPAP’s, ISIRs, and 8D reporting.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001.
* CAD skills (Auto-Desk Fusion preferable)
