Junior Financial Accountant
• Location: Frimley, Surrey
• Function: Finance, Shared Service Centre (SSC)
This role does not support relocation
About the role
This is a pivotal role is based in our EMEA Shared Service Centre where you’ll deliver insightful financial analysis and ensure a smooth Month-End Close process. You’ll manage Balance Sheet reconciliations, provide intercompany accounting support, and act as a trusted finance business partner to local country teams. Collaborating across multiple functions, you’ll play a role in driving accuracy and efficiency while actively supporting the Associate Manager on both day-to-day operations and exciting process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
7. Maintain financial integrity and compliance with US and local GAAP
8. Execute month-end close within a 3-day timeframe
9. Analyze balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies
10. Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and SOX requirements
11. Prepare audit documentation and liaise with auditors
12. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders
13. Drive process improvements using LEAN methodology
14. Manage intercompany invoicing, cash allocation, and reconciliations
Experience you’ll bring:
15. Graduate calibre ideally in business/finance or equivalent
16. Experience of monthly closing, balance sheets, month end reporting, accruals and reconciliation, able to demonstrate a high level of numeracy.
17. Strong knowledge and experience of SAP CO Module
18. Advanced Excel skills
19. Accounting department experience in a medium to large size company
20. Awareness of internal controls and SOX
21. Understanding of local statutory and taxes
22. Finalist or studying either CIMA / ACCA / ACA
