The post will be based at Barnsley Hospital withweekday on call covering Barnsley hospitals only and weekend on calls includingSheffield and Chesterfield hospitals.The post-holder will also be expected to have a role in the training andteaching of registrars, junior doctors, medical students, nurses and otherhealth professionals. Main duties of the job (a) ClinicalServices: The appointed clinician will,together with Consultant colleagues, be responsible for the planning, deliveryand improvement of clinical care in ENT Surgery at Barnsley Hospital. Workclosely with the multidisciplinary teams to provide a high quality ENT Surgeryservice. Advise clinical colleagues onmatters within his/her sphere of experience. Liaise with other Health CareOrganisations, Social Services, General Practitioners, Voluntary Organisations and the Hospice as required. Keep services up-to-date and give directionto future developments (a) Trainingand Education: Contributeto the teaching of other grades of staff,both within and outside the department,including medical staff,nurses, paramedical staffand scientific and technical staff.
