We are looking for a highly competent and motivated Engineering Apprentice to be part of our high-performing Engineering team at our advanced manufacturing site in Brackley, Northamptonshire.
Purpose of the Role
To support the Engineering teams with optimising machinery output and product quality, minimise plant downtime through effective planned and reactive maintenance activities, whilst maintaining a safe and healthy environment and promoting good engineering practice.

Structure
Our apprenticeships combine practical experience with skills-based learning, offering valuable skills and experience through a mix of college-based learning and on-the-job training. You will work alongside experts on real projects, supported by a mentor throughout the program.
Your Key Responsibilities As An Engineering Apprentice Will Be
* Supporting the Engineering teams to carry out scheduled maintenance and effective corrective actions.
* Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns, identifying root causes, and suggesting improvements.
* Communicating unscheduled breakdowns to the Engineering Shift Manager / Principal Engineer and working with operations to minimise disruption.
* Following good engineering and hygiene practices.
* Carrying out activities within health and safety guidelines and reporting issues.
* Reporting Health and Safety, Animal Welfare, and Environmental issues promptly.
* Minimising plant downtime through good engineering practices.
* Demonstrating basic problem-solving techniques to identify root causes.
What We Are Looking For
* Numerical and reasoning ability, meeting entry requirements for a technical apprenticeship (Functional Skills Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy, and a pass in the Technical Abilities Test).
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including Maths, English, and Science (desirable).
* Practical ability to operate within an FMCG factory environment.
* Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and thrive under deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Engineering experience is desirable but not essential.
