We are looking for a forward thinking Registered Nurse who will work as a member of the MDT to provide care to a range of patients within the post holder s scope of practice, under the supervision of a designated shift lead. The role encompasses the skills of assessment, clinical prioritisation and care navigation; and general nursing duties within an agreed scope of practice. The Nurse will be responsible for ensuring that patients who attend the centre seek care from the most relevant health care professional based on their presentation needs. This may include signposting patients to care givers outside of the service such as Pharmacists, community support or the patients registered General Practitioner. The Nurse is also responsible for the providing care to patients that are being managed in the urgent care observation bay an area where patients that require treatment or a period of observation are managed. The post holder is required to be registered with the relevant professional body. What we're looking for Registered with relevant professional body Degree-level registration qualification or equivalent post-registration award Satisfactory DBS clearance Substantial experience, post registration, in an acute/urgent care setting Confidence and ability to accurately assess and manage complex patient presentations to a high professional standard Good understanding of autonomous practice within a minor illness/urgent care centre and the roles that deliver this Good interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in using I.T. based patient documentation systems. The centre is staffed primarily by our team of experienced urgent care clinicians with additional support from other clinical and non-clinical members of staff. The team is made up of a mixed MDT including GP,s Advanced Practitioners, Nurses and Urgent Care Technicians. The team is also supported by the Non Clinical team. They all work together to create a positive and rewarding workplace environment for colleagues delivering a high-quality experience for patients.
