The Low Risk department is keen to promote excellent team work by employing people who have a positive (can do) attitude. By achieving this, the department is in the best position to supply the meals department in an efficient manner. We aim to not only achieve our targets but improve on them as well. The role involves selecting materials from the freezer and preparing them for production. Responsibilities include operating CQC machinery, monitoring and checking temperatures, and ensuring products are cooked according to required standards. The role also requires weighing products to ensure they meet the correct specifications and maintaining cleanliness by using appropriate chemicals in line with hygiene and safety procedures. In addition, there may be occasions where support is required in other departments as part of the wider team.
