Highway Project Engineer
Location: Glastonbury, CTA well-established, 100% employee-owned engineering firm is seeking an experienced Highway Project Engineer to join its growing transportation team. Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on transportation infrastructure projects
* Lead the development of roadway and transportation design plans
* Serve as a task lead and contribute to mentoring junior staff
* Prepare full design packages or key components of larger projects
* Perform quality control reviews to ensure project accuracy and compliance
* Participate in client meetings and represent the firm in external settings
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
* PE license required
* 5-10 years of roadway design and transportation engineering experience
* Experience working with State DOTs; municipal experience a plus
* Exposure to Complete Streets or multimodal design preferred
* Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads
* Strong communication skills and ability to interface with clients
* Experience with proposals, scope development, and budgeting is a plus
