Integration Engineer Hybrid | UK | Defence and Advanced Technology We are working with a high growth, mission driven technology company operating at the cutting edge of edge computing, sensors and real world systems. They are building a platform that connects hardware, sensors and software into deployable capability. These are systems used in the field, not just lab environments. This is a hands on integration role for someone who enjoys making complex systems work end to end. The goal is to develop a core product than can adapt to customer requirements. Taking complex sensor data, including picture / video and getting that data into usable information on the cloud / server is the main challenge. What you will be doing Integrating sensors, devices and hardware into an edge platform Working across software, electronics and infrastructure Building and debugging containerised applications using Docker Supporting deployments in real world environments Solving problems across software, configuration and hardware Collaborating with multi disciplinary engineering teams What they are looking for Strong fundamentals in Computer Science, Software or Electronics Experience or strong interest in IoT, IIoT, robotics, embedded systems or product development Comfortable with Linux environments Experience working with APIs and data formats such as JSON Practical approach to debugging and problem solving Nice to have Edge or distributed systems experience Hardware interfaces such as CAN, SPI, I2C or Ethernet RF systems exposure AI or machine learning at the edge Experience in defence, critical infrastructure or real world operational environments Why this role Work on systems that are actually deployed and used Exposure across software, hardware and edge technology Fast moving engineering environment Opportunity to own integrations end to end Important Must be a UK national and eligible for security clearance Backgrounds from defence, IoT, robotics or advanced engineering environments are all relevant The role is hybrid, it's more remote than in the office, unlikely to be a weekly requirement on site but there will be periods which may require 3 days depending on trials and integration stages.
