Communication Support Worker

£105 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)
The ideal candidate will : Hold a
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) - Essential Have experience working with
students who are deaf or have communication difficulties Be confident in using
BSL and other communication methods
to support learning Have the ability to
adapt communication styles
to suit students across different age groups Be patient, proactive, and able to
build positive relationships
with students and staff Work effectively with
teachers, SENCOs, and speech & language therapists
to support individual learning needs
Your Responsibilities Provide
one-to-one and group communication support
across primary and secondary settings Use
BSL and other assistive communication methods
to facilitate learning and engagement Adapt
learning materials and classroom activities
to suit individual student needs Support students in developing
confidence, independence, and self-expression Work closely with
specialist teachers and therapists
to ensure personalised support plans are implemented Assist in
transition support
for students moving between primary and secondary phases
