We are looking for an experienced and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work closely with children across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 who require additional support. You will play a vital role in helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to thrive.
The Role
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND needs including Autism/ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, and SEMH needs
* Support children within the classroom, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
* Assist with emotional regulation, social interaction, and positive behaviour strategies
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
* Foster a nurturing, positive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Previous experience working with children with SEND in a school setting
* Understanding of or interest in speech and language strategies, sensory needs, or emotional regulation approaches
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
* A calm, adaptable, and empathetic approach to supporting children
