Responsibilities
In this role, you'll work in a dynamic school setting, providing crucial support to students aged 5 to 18. Your focus will be on helping a small class (typically 4-5 students) who have a wide range of complex needs, including autism and physical disabilities.
* Provide one-on-one and small-group support to help students with their learning and daily activities.
* Collaborate with experienced teachers to deliver tailored educational and personal care plans.
* Assist in creating a positive and nurturing classroom environment where every student feels safe and understood.
* Help facilitate learning and social interaction, celebrating every small victory with your students.
Qualifications
* You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* You are proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
* You have a genuine desire to make a difference in students lives.
* You have experience, whether personal or work-related, supporting individuals with special educational needs (SEN). This could include family care, volunteering, or prior work in a similar setting.
* A valid Enhanced DBS check (for both children and adults) is required for this role.
* A full driving license is highly recommended due to the school's location.
