Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and forward-thinking administrator to join the School-Based Health Service (SBHS) team. The post holder will act as the first point of contact for the service and will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Service Business Manager, ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the service. The role requires a proactive, highly organised individual with excellent interpersonal and customer care skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing administrative systems within SBHS and supporting the team with a wide range of administrative activities. Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is essential, alongside a high standard of IT skills and a flexible, adaptable approach to the role.
Responsibilities
* Undertake patient and client-facing administrative duties, including responding to queries and issuing appropriate communications.
* Manage the receipt and processing of electronic service referrals and carry out routine and ad-hoc departmental tasks as required.
* Provide administrative support to managers and clinicians, including appropriate signposting and the documentation of complaints in the absence of management or a senior clinician.
* Independently manage the central email inbox, acting as the first point of contact for clients, carers, health professionals and partner services.
* Receive safeguarding referrals and meeting invitations, organising and sharing these with the Named Nurses.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues and service users from culturally diverse backgrounds and respond to enquiries in a calm, caring and empathetic manner.
* Uphold Trust values by being kind, professional, responsive and informative, contributing to the overall quality and safety of the service.
