You'll be joining our Civils Projects Team on HPC. We deliver specialist civil engineering for the private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships based on a collaborative approach.

What will you be doing?
You'll develop, implement, and monitor Construction Environmental Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans and other subject specific environmental management plans to maintain compliance with legislation and contract requirements.
You'll provide technical advice, direction, support and assistance to key internal and external stakeholders to enable them to manage their environmental duties and responsibilities.
Liaise with Clients and Regulators, and assist with the obtaining of legal consents, licenses, and exemptions.
We'll ask you to monitor compliance with environmental consents, licenses, and exemptions.
You'll support operational teams in the production of internal and external reports.
Leading on environmental incident investigations, and support and advise on corrective actions.
You'll assist in the development and delivery of suitable environmental and sustainability training for all project staff.
Carry out internal and external audits of Milestone Projects/Contracts and our supply chain.
You'll measure, manage and reduce carbon associated with Milestone's projects as part of an integrated delivery team.
You'll represent and promote the Environment Enabling Function in internal and external meetings, workshops, management reviews and forums – communicating best practice standards and initiatives.
What you'll bring
Demonstrable passion for the Environment and Sustainability, driving innovation and an ability and desire to positively influence and develop those around them.
Relevant experience in the construction industry or environmental experience in a similar sector.
Professional membership of IEMA (or equivalent) at the appropriate level.
A proven track record of delivering positive outcomes working with external stakeholders and client organisations.
Degree level in appropriate environmental discipline or relevant qualifications
Competent IT skills
Strong team player who is self-motivated
Full driving licence and willingness to travel
