Transport Supervisor
North Lincolnshire – Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE – Permanent, Full Time
About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to join a growing business based in North Lincolnshire. This newly created role offers the opportunity to make a real impact in transport operations.
Responsibilities
* Managing day-to-day transport operations
* Daily transport planning and route scheduling
* Coordinating drivers and ensuring workloads are organised effectively
* Supporting fleet compliance and transport legislation requirements
* Monitoring delivery schedules and resolving operational issues
* Liaising with internal teams, customers and drivers
* Supporting performance, service levels and operational efficiency
* Supervising and supporting the transport team
* Helping to improve processes as the business continues to grow
Qualifications
* Experience in a busy transport, logistics or distribution environment
* Transport planning, driver coordination, fleet/vehicle compliance, route planning and scheduling
* Managing daily operational issues
* Supervising or supporting a transport team
* Working in a fast-paced transport office
* A CPC qualification would be advantageous; strong operations experience will also be considered
* Confidence, proactivity and decision-making ability in a busy environment
