Joining us as a National Account Manager, you'll lead the execution of the customer business plan to achieve and exceed annual targets. You’ll utilize category and consumer insights to meet key business objectives and be responsible for planning and delivering a profitable growth plan with your customer.
Responsibilities
This is a key role within the wider eCommerce Sales Team, where you’ll have full P&L ownership and be accountable for planning and delivering a profitable growth plan for Ocado within the Birds Eye, Aunt Bessie’s, and Goodfella’s portfolios. You will also own and coordinate the total media strategy with Ocado.
* Build partnerships with Ocado stakeholders to develop, manage, and execute Joint Business Plans, aiming to achieve both your own and the customer’s sales, profit, and share targets.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure top-tier visibility for our brands.
* Own the strategy and execution for Ocado, leveraging best practices to unify all three brands across ten categories to deliver optimal offers for the customer, Ocado, and Birds Eye.
* Lead test-and-learn digital-first initiatives.
* Manage customer product mix and align with strategic brand and category guidelines.
* Maintain the day-to-day commercial relationship with the Buyers.
Qualifications
We seek a National Account Manager with solid trading experience and a history of working with pureplay retailers within a blue-chip FMCG organization. You should have a proven track record of maintaining and enhancing business relationships with major customers, and of formulating and reviewing detailed business plans.
* Previous account management experience in food/beverage national accounts. (Experience with Ocado is a plus!)
* Strong understanding of eCommerce levers, media toolkits, and macro eCommerce trends.
* Grocery experience with both branded and own-label products is desirable, with a category and customer-first mindset.
* High analytical skills to interpret data and leverage it commercially.
* P&L analysis and course correction skills, with the ability to make decisive decisions based on realities.
* Resilience and excellent negotiation skills to achieve mutually acceptable outcomes in demanding circumstances.
* Entrepreneurial mindset—creative, curious, with a test-and-learn approach.
