NEOS Engineering are partnered with a leading plant and tool hire company seeking a Hire Desk Controller for their Reading depot. This role is key to supporting the company’s growth, managing hire operations, and delivering top-tier customer service to strengthen market presence.
The Job:
As a Hire Desk Controller, you’ll manage the hire desk, oversee contracts and logistics, and work with customers and internal teams to ensure efficient operations and excellent service delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage depot hire operations to meet service standards professionally.
Monitor local hire fleet stock and optimize supply with internal teams.
Handle new hire contracts, off-hires, and general enquiries.
Support logistics for efficient transport operations.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive sales growth.
What You Need:
Proven experience in hire operations or a similar role.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to build client relationships and work independently.
Negotiation and time management skills.
Knowledge of construction or plant/tool hire industry (desirable).
